The Syrian geography has, from ancient times to the present day, remained a significant source of human contribution to world history in scientific, economic, political, and social domains. Considered both the memory and the future of the world, this region undoubtedly holds great potential to contribute to contemporary civilization and the generations to come. Overcoming the challenges faced by this cradle of civilizations-positioned at the crossroads of past and future-is only possible by unlocking and revitalizing its inherent potential.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education in the Syrian Arab Republic, the International University of Al-Sham is pleased to announce the International Conference on Applied, Social, and Human Sciences, to be held in Aleppo, Syria, from November 14 to 16, 2025.
The primary aim of the conference is to bring together scholars, researchers, and professionals working in the fields of applied, social, and human sciences to contribute to the post-war reconstruction and sustainable development of Syria. It seeks to foster interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and to lay the groundwork for international academic collaboration.
Our conference covers a wide interdisciplinary spectrum including engineering and natural sciences, health sciences, education, political science and international relations, economics, history, sociology, arts, and literature. Syria and the surrounding region remain a focal point of intense social transformation, providing fertile ground for interdisciplinary research and adding greater value to such approaches.
One of the central objectives of the conference is to contribute to the development of the theoretical and practical foundations necessary for the region’s reconstruction in the post-conflict period, especially through the integration of applied sciences.
The official languages of the conference are Turkish, Arabic, and English. It will be conducted in both online and in-person formats, offering a multidisciplinary platform where participants can present their research, engage in critical discussions, and develop new ideas.
At the conclusion of the conference, all accepted academic contributions will be compiled and published in a digital proceedings book.
